Clouds will be moving in Wednesday evening across the area, expect the rain and snow to increase after the midnight hour. Areas north and west of North Platte may see 1 to 3 inches of snow by Thursday AM. Lows Wednesday night will be in the low to mid 30s with winds out of the east/southeast 5-15mph.

Thursday the snow turns to rain, highs will be in the low to mid 40s with winds out of the east 5-15, with higher gusts possible.

Friday its back to spring, sunny skies with highs will be in the low 60s. Look for the warm conditions to stick around through Saturday with sunny skies, highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunday, a chance of rain comes back into the forecast with highs in the 50s.

Monday & early next week, will start off with sunny skies, but come Tuesday and Wednesday, models are pushing a pretty nice storm system in here. Might be our first severe weather event of the year, will just have to wait and see how that all pans out.

But speaking of severe weather, next week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Nebraska. This is a great time for you to go over your severe weather action plan, such as what would I do if there was a Tornado Warning issued for my area, will have more in the next week.
