It was certainly hot today as highs reached the middle and upper 90’s almost everywhere. But the low levels of humidity made the heat a bit more bearable.
Unfortunately, humidity will rise tonight and tomorrow, and highs tomorrow will be just as high and perhaps a touch higher, so dangerous heat is possible.
Tonight will be mainly clear and mild with lows in the mid and upper 60’s.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and very hot, and more humid with highs in the mid to upper 90’s, and a couple places could reach the century mark. A few thunderstorms are likely later tomorrow as a dry line moves eastward.
More thunderstorms are possible Thursday night and at least part of Friday as a cold front will be pushing through the area. Highs Friday may still reach to near 90.
But the weekend looks very nice with sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the lower 80’s. Nights will be comfortable with lows in the upper 50’s to lower 60’s. There is a slight risk of an isolated storm especially Sunday, but outdoor plans should not be adversely affected.
Stay tuned to KNOP-TV and KNOPNEWS2.COM for the latest on the hot weather.
