Blizzard Warnings/Winter Weather Advisories have been cancelled as snow beings to exit stage east into Eastern Nebraska and Iowa. Let behind for us is the wind and the bitter cold temperatures. Lows Sunday Night will be -8/-12 Below for Southern and Southwestern Nebraska. -15/-18 Below for the I-80 Core door (including North Platte) and -20/-28 below for Northern Nebraska. Wind chill readings may range from 25 to 45 below zero. If you have to be outside, make sure to cover any expose skin as frost bite will take no time to occur.
Snowfall reports so far have been generally about 1 to 6 inches, but blowing and drifting snow has been reported. Please avoid rural/open country road travel on Sunday night.
