Hang on to your hats when you go out and vote, especially if you want to go after lunch. Temps Monday night will be in the 40s, Tuesday temperatures will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. I believe that we will make it through most of Election Day dry.
Precipitation will roll in on Wednesday morning. Most of the day Wednesday looks wet with a possible rumble of thunder. Wednesday night starts the mess, not what the football coaches want to hear I know. I think for the Maxwell game, it’s going to be all rain, but in northern Nebraska (North Of HWY 2) it may go to all snow. And for Wednesday night and Thursday there could be some accumulating snow.
For the rest of the area, we may start seeing some snowflakes mix in Late Wednesday Night and early Thursday, but all and all I think this storm is a liquid event, especially south of I-80.
Wind with this storm will be the other story; at times starting Tuesday winds my gust to near 40mph through Thursday.
