First half of the weekend will be dry and warm, second half will be wet and cool. Mostly clear skies Friday night with lows in the 30s, winds will be out of the southwest 5-15. Saturday will be mild and warm; highs will be in the 70s with winds breezy out of the southwest 15-25 and at times gusting up to 35.
Southwest Nebraska is under a fire weather watch for Saturday, and this might get bumped up to a red flag warning early Saturday afternoon. With the expected warm conditions, low relative humidity levels at times and strong southwest winds. This will increase the fire danger. Please try to avoid burning if you live south of I-80 and west of HWY 83.
We bring a chance of rain and t-storms into the forecast late Saturday afternoon north of HWY 2 and the rest of Greater Nebraska Saturday night. Sunday looks wet early then partly sunny late; highs will be cooler with temperatures only in the 50s.
Next week looks to be active, with a chance of precipitation most of the week. Maybe even a chance of snow Monday night into Tuesday Morning.
