Today’s nice weather was in stark contrast to the stormy weather that struck parts of Greater Nebraska, yesterday afternoon and evening, and the front that helped generate yesterday’s storms looks like it is coming back for an encore performance.
The front currently extends from the northeastern corner of Nebraska southwestward to the southwestern corner of Kansas, and the front will basically stall this evening across northern Kansas before coming northward across Nebraska during Wednesday. It will then come back southeastward Wednesday night. As the front wavers north and south, showers and thunderstorms will likely develop, first over southern areas later tonight, then into all areas tomorrow afternoon and evening when the most widespread activity is expected. A few of these storms could be strong, and the Storm Prediction Center has places Greater Nebraska in a slight risk of severe storms for Wednesday.
So after perhaps a few isolated showers this evening, especially over northern parts of the viewing area, we can expect partly cloudy skies with the risk of isolated thunderstorms after midnight across southern areas. Lows will be in the 50’s.
Wednesday will feature mostly cloudy skies with the chance of isolated storms during the morning, but more widespread activity could develop during the afternoon and evening with highs in the lower 80’s.
Any thunderstorm activity will diminish during Wednesday night as the front presses to our south with lows in the 50’s under partly cloudy skies.
Then Thursday and Friday will be very pleasant with sunshine and highs in the 70’s, though Thursday could be quite windy. Nights will be fall-like, especially overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning when lows bottom out well into the 40’s, with even some 30’s possible under clear skies.
But a warm-up will begin for the Labor Day Holiday weekend as highs reach the upper 80’s to middle 90’s across the region through the period, with abundant sunshine. So it looks like we will close out the unofficial end of summer on a beautiful note.

Storm Ending Early, Then Nice Tuesday Before More Storms Tuesday Night
Severe thunderstorms that developed around mid-afternoon and affected Southwestern and South-Central counties from Hitchcock northeastward to Custer will move out of the viewing area by early this evening. These storms produced wind gusts up to 60mph that blew a roof off a building in McCook in Hitchcock County, that then landed on a truck, and downed 4 to 8 inch diameter tree branches in Stockville and Curtis in Frontier County.
A cool front will push through Greater Nebraska overnight and stall over Northern Kansas by Tuesday evening, and this could set off a couple more isolated strong storms until about midnight, but skies will then clear by morning with lows near 60.
Tuesday will be a nice late summer day with mostly sunny skies and light winds with highs in the middle 80’s.
But the front to our south and an impulse riding eastward along it will reintroduce the threat of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow night and Wednesday, especially across southern parts of the viewing area. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. These storms will move out of the region by Wednesday night.
Then high pressure will build into the area from the west, and should remain in control from Thursday through the Labor Day weekend. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny, and temperatures will start off a bit below average Thursday and Friday with highs from the upper 70’s to lower 80’s, but will warm to above average for the weekend with highs from the middle 80’s to lower 90’s. So overall the long Labor Day Weekend is looking quite summerlike, and should be ideal for any outdoor plans.

Sunny, Breezy And Hot Weekend Ahead
Sunshine, hot temperatures, very low humidity and gusty winds created ripe Fire Weather conditions today, and similar conditions will prevail over the weekend, though a slight increase in humidity may reduce Fire Weather conditions.
Both days of the weekend will feature sunshine, though there may be a few clouds on Sunday. Also, breezy south to southeasterly winds gusting up and over 30mph will continue. Highs will be generally in the lower to middle 90’s region wide, though eastern areas may stay in the 80’s while a few places in western and northern areas could hit the upper 90’s. Nights will be clear and comfortable with lows in the 60’s.
The next chance of thunderstorms will com on Monday as a cold front approaches and passes through by Tuesday. Highs will still approach 90 on Monday before dropping back into the 80’s Tuesday.

Fire Weather Threat Increased
We can expect more sunny, dry and warm to hot weather through the weekend.
In addition, breezy to windy conditions could lead to critical Fire Weather, especially Friday, and Fire Weather Watches are in effect for northern and western Cherry County, and all of Grant, Arthur, and Keith counties for Friday afternoon and evening where relative humidity could fall to or below 15%. However, caution is advised across all of Greater Nebraska and anyone working with anything that could quickly ignite the dry brush should use extreme caution. Highs Friday will range from the upper 80’s across the southeast to the mid and perhaps upper 90’s across western and northern areas.
During the weekend, highs may be a bit cooler across northern and western areas but will generally still be in the lower to middle 90’s, along with low humidity though humidity may increase a bit during Sunday.
A cool front will approach Monday and perhaps spark a couple of thunderstorms, but highs will still remain around the 90 degree mark.
If you happen to be travelling to the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, you can expect sunny, breezy and dry conditions Friday through the weekend with highs ranging from 85 to 90.

Warmer Temperatures On The Way
The beat goes on with the great weather, and will continue to go on through the weekend but with warmer temperatures.
After a quite cool night where lows fell well into the 40’s, highs rebounded today into the 80’s with lots of sun on southwesterly winds. The southerly flow will continue for the next several days, and strengthen so that tomorrow into the weekend will be quite breezy with wind gusts topping 30mph at times. This may increase the fire weather danger as warm to hot temperatures, coupled with very low humidity and the gusty winds, dry out brush making conditions prime for any spark or flame to start wildfires.
But first for tonight, skies will be clear and it will still be cool with lows near 50, but some lows will likely fall into the 40’s once again.
Thursday and into the weekend will be clear and sunny and quite breezy as highs reach the lower to perhaps middle 90’s across Greater Nebraska.
The next chance for any thunderstorms will come Monday night as a cold front approaches from the northwest.

Fall-like Tonight, But Summer Returns By Tomorrow Afternoon
After a spectacular day weather-wise today, it will feel a bit like fall by tomorrow morning. But summer will return beginning tomorrow afternoon.
High pressure building into Greater Nebraska from the Northwest will retain control of our weather through at least the weekend. For tonight, it will bring clear skies and light to calm winds, both of which will allow temperatures to quickly fall into the 40’s by morning.
But as the high moves to our east, a southwesterly flow of air will begin, and temperatures will gradually become warmer through the weekend. Sunny skies and a light southwesterly wind tomorrow will boost highs into the middle 80’s, and by Thursday, highs will approach or exceed the 90 degree mark in parts of the region.
Friday and the weekend will continue to be bright and sunny, and highs will top our near the 90 degree mark. Humidity levels will remain low through the weekend, especially Friday and Saturday, and as a breeze picks up it will raise the threat of Fire Weather conditions during that time.
The next chance of thunderstorms looks to be around Monday night and Tuesday as humidity increases a bit, and upper-level disturbances allow for some development, but right now the threat appears minimal. Highs may cool a bit by Tuesday into the middle 80’s, but overall Greater Nebraska will be in a warmer than average weather pattern after tomorrow.

Beautiful Week Ahead With A Hint Of Fall Early
A cold front pushing through Great Nebraska this evening will produce a few light showers through early tonight, then the rest of the week will be beautiful with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures before it begins to warm up on Thursday.
The showers have been affecting mainly our northern and central counties through the afternoon, though isolated showers or sprinkles could affect southwestern counties until sunset. Clouds will dominate through the first part of the night, but clearing will begin later and by morning skies will be mostly clear. A northerly breeze gusting to 30mph will diminish through the overnight, with light northerly winds by sunrise tomorrow.
Tuesday will be beautiful with blue sunny skies and light winds with highs touching the 80 degree mark, as high pressure builds in from the Pacific Northwest.
But thoughts of fall may occur Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as clear skies and light winds allow temperatures to drop well down into the 40’s for the first time since June 15th in North Platte.
But by Wednesday temperatures will begin to rebound as high pressure moves to our east, allowing a southerly flow of warmer air to develop. Highs in the lower to middle 80’s on Wednesday will warm to the upper 80’s to lower 90’s Thursday, and these warmer readings will continue through the weekend into early next week. The next chance for any rainfall won’t be until the weekend when a trough brings a slight risk of isolated showers and thunderstorms.

A Sunny and Hot Weekend On The Way
The day dawned mostly cloudy across Greater Nebraska today, but sunshine finally won out but not until mid-afternoon in North Platte. Regardless, highs reached the upper 80’s to middle 90’s, though low humidity made these reading feel a bit more comfortable in most areas.
Tonight will be clear and pleasant with lows from the upper 50’s to lower 60’s.
Both days of the weekend will feature clear, sunny skies, and all areas will see highs into the 90’s, and even well into the 90’s to close to or over 100 in a few spots. Humidity will remain low on Saturday which is good news, and a light southwesterly breeze will keep it from getting too uncomfortable. However, strong southerly winds on Sunday could gust up and over 30mph at times, and humidity will creep upward a bit so it may be a bit more uncomfortable outside.
Regardless, use caution outside, especially if you will be out for extended periods. Use plenty of sunscreen, drink lots of water, and have easily accessible ways to keep cool, such as a lake, pool or air-conditioning.
It will still be sunny and very warm on Monday, but an approaching cool front will spark a few very late day thunderstorms. By Tuesday, highs will be in the much cooler upper 70’s to lower 80’s with sunshine.

Stormy Tonight, Then Continued Hot Through The Weekend
Today was day number two of our current heat spell, but it is certainly not the last as the heat will last into early next week, and intensify over the weekend. However, we will need to get through some stormy weather this evening and early tonight.
A surface dry-line extending southward from low pressure over south-central South Dakota to extreme southwest Nebraska will push slowly east over greater Nebraska this evening and tonight. This feature, along with an upper-level trough approaching the central Rockies, and it’s associated upper disturbances embedded within it, will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening and early tonight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall, which is the main threat from, though one or two storms could become strong to severe with damaging winds and hail. However, as these features move east of Greater Nebraska after midnight, the thunderstorm activity will begin to diminish and skies will clear. Lows will be in the 60’s.
Then Friday through the weekend will feature sunshine and hot temperatures as an upper-level ridge over the Southwest rebuilds into the northern and central Plains. Both days of the weekend will be quite hot with highs from the middle 90’s to the lower 100’s. Fortunately, winds generally from a west to southwest direction should keep humidity relatively low, so heat indices should not become extreme. However, use caution if outside since the heat could still be dangerous.
The heat will continue into Monday, but a cool front will move through by later Monday, bringing the chance of some isolated thunderstorms. By Tuesday, sunshine will return along with pleasant highs in the 80’s.

The Heat Is On (Again)
It certainly did heat up across Greater Nebraska today as an upper-level ridge over the Four-Corners region expanded north and east, and highs reached the lower to even upper 90’s in some areas. However, eastern areas such as Broken Bow did not make it out of the lower 80’s, likely due to some cloud-cover there through a portion of the morning hours. And the heat is here to stay in varying degrees through early next week.
Tonight will be mostly clear and pleasant later on with lows in the 60’s.
On Thursday, a surface trough and an upper-level disturbance will approach from the west as low pressure moves eastward across South Dakota. Skies will start sunny but more clouds will follow during the afternoon as the trough and disturbance approach, and some isolated thunderstorms will likely develop during the afternoon and continue into the night. Any of the storms could be strong to severe, and the Storm Prediction Center has much of Greater Nebraska in a slight risk for severe. Highs will reach into the 90’s.
By Friday, the upper-level ridge will begin to rebuild strongly into the Central Plains, and temperatures Friday and especially both days of the weekend will be quite hot. In fact, the 100 degree mark is within reach across the region both weekend days along with lots of sun.
The heat will continue into Monday, but a cold front will push through bringing the risk of thunderstorms. Behind the front, highs will cool into the pleasant lower and middle 80’s by Tuesday.

Some Fog Overnight And Wednesday Morning, Then The Heat Returns
It was a much calmer day after last night stormy weather, though clouds ruled and did not allow temperatures to rise much past the middle 70's, though Valentine squeaked into the low 80’s with more in the way of sun.
Expect the clouds to clear tonight, and this will allow the temperature to drop into the 50’s in most areas. Watch for areas of fog to form after about 3AM, which could be dense in spots, and any fog that forms will last until about 9AM tomorrow morning before it burns off.
Then for tomorrow, we can expect sunny skies, and it will become breezy during the afternoon, and it will also become very warm to hot with highs reaching into the 90’s most areas, so a much warmer day than today.
The heat will then last into early next week, but by varying degrees as a couple of fronts either get close to or come through Greater Nebraska. The first of these will come by during Thursday when there can be a thunderstorm, and highs will get close to 90. By the weekend, the heat should be in full swing with sunshine boosting highs into the middle and perhaps even upper 90’s in a few cases.
The next front will affect the area Monday into Tuesday, and there is a chance of thunderstorms with temperatures cooling into the 80’s to lower 90’s.

Stormy Tonight, Pleasant Tuesday Then Hotter Wednesday
Scattered thunderstorms have been moving across northern parts of our viewing area, mainly to the north of an Ogallala/North Platte line. Some of these storms have been strong to severe with damaging winds and hail, and heavy rainfall.
Expect scattered storms to continue during the overnight as an upper-level disturbance cruises eastward from Wyoming and Colorado, and weak low pressure over northeast Colorado moves southeast into southwestern Kansas along a stationary front situated from southwestern Wyoming to eastern Colorado then southward. Any storm will be capable or producing heavy rainfall, damaging wind gusts and large hail. Skies will be mostly cloudy with lows near 60.
Tuesday, the upper-level disturbance will be moving eastward across Nebraska, and the low will move very slowly eastward across Kansas. The proximity of these features to Greater Nebraska will cause partly cloudy skies, and there is a slight risk of a thunderstorm at just about anytime, with a somewhat greater risk to the east of North Platte. Highs will crest near the 80 degree mark.
By Wednesday, and upper-level high currently centered over Texas will move eastward Tuesday, then begin to expand northeastward Wednesday. As this happens, we can expect temperatures to moderate into the 90’s for Wednesday and Thursday. A front will cross the region Thursday night causing temperatures to drop back into the 80’s for Friday. But hot weather will return for the weekend with sunny skies and highs in the 90’s, so a changeable week is ahead.

Heatwave Is Over - Pleasant Weekend Ahead!
Today was a warm day as highs reached the middle 80’s to near 90, but lowering humidity made it feel a bit cooler. And our heatwave will be officially over beginning tomorrow.
The cool front that crossed the region this morning is now situated from extreme eastern Nebraska southward into central Kansas. This front helped lower the temperature a bit, and especially lowered humidity levels. But a second cool front is located from eastern North Dakota southward into southwestern South Dakota, then westward into northern Wyoming. This front is also moving southward toward Greater Nebraska, and will push through by tomorrow afternoon. Yet a third front located over south-central Canada will pass through Greater Nebraska during the overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.
What all this means is that we can expect relatively fair and pleasant weather through the entire weekend, with at least partly sunny skies, low humidity, and highs in the low 80's. Nights will be clear to partly cloudy with lows near 60.
However, as the second front presses through, there may be enough instability and moisture for a few isolated thunderstorms later Saturday into Saturday night. In addition, any storm that develops could be strong to severe, with damaging winds and large hail. The best chance of seeing thunderstorm activity will be over the southern and eastern parts of our viewing area, mainly from Imperial to North Platte to Broken Bow and southeast. But most areas will not see any activity, and most outdoor plans should not be adversely affected.
By Sunday, all three fronts should be sitting far enough to our south over Kansas so that the threat of storms over Greater Nebraska should be very small. If there is a stray storm on Sunday, it would likely occur over our southern counties. But the risk is not enough to mention in the forecast at this time.
The pleasant temperatures will continue into at least the beginning of next week. Enjoy the weekend!

A Change To Pleasant Weather On The Way
Clouds helped hold highs down a bit in some areas today, while other areas like Valentine baked in the mid to upper 90’s. But this will be the last day of heat for a while.
A cool front will push through Greater Nebraska by tomorrow afternoon, and this will help usher in cooler, less humid weather that will make the weekend (and beyond) quite pleasant.
But before that, we will see a few thunderstorms tonight as a disturbance over Wyoming presses eastward. Skies will be partly cloudy as lows drop into the 60’s.
Then, the cool front now located southwestern South Dakota through central Wyoming will push southeast. This front may produce some isolated shower and storms on Friday until it moves out of the region tomorrow afternoon. The threat of storms tomorrow will be greatest over eastern parts of the viewing area. Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies with an afternoon breeze out of the north gusting to 25mph, and highs from the middle 80’s to lower 90’s. Humidity will lower also after the passage of the front.
The stage will then be set for a very pleasant weekend with sunshine, low humidity, a light breeze, and highs in the lower 80’s. There is a very slight risk of a thunderstorm late each weekend day into the night but outdoor plans should not be compromised.
Remember to follow any thunderstorm activity with our WeatherActive radar by logging into KNOPNEWS2.COM.

Hot Through Thursday But Then A Cooler Change
It was certainly hot today as highs reached the middle and upper 90’s almost everywhere. But the low levels of humidity made the heat a bit more bearable.
Unfortunately, humidity will rise tonight and tomorrow, and highs tomorrow will be just as high and perhaps a touch higher, so dangerous heat is possible.
Tonight will be mainly clear and mild with lows in the mid and upper 60’s.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and very hot, and more humid with highs in the mid to upper 90’s, and a couple places could reach the century mark. A few thunderstorms are likely later tomorrow as a dry line moves eastward.
More thunderstorms are possible Thursday night and at least part of Friday as a cold front will be pushing through the area. Highs Friday may still reach to near 90.
But the weekend looks very nice with sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the lower 80’s. Nights will be comfortable with lows in the upper 50’s to lower 60’s. There is a slight risk of an isolated storm especially Sunday, but outdoor plans should not be adversely affected.
Stay tuned to KNOP-TV and KNOPNEWS2.COM for the latest on the hot weather.

Heat Continues But Changes Are On The Way
After last night’s heavy thunderstorms, today was a much calmer day, and while it was hot, lower humidity levels brought in by southwest winds made the heat a bit more tolerable. Highs reached the 90’s in most areas, but heat indices were not as high as they have been recently.
The lower levels of humidity will continue through tomorrow before they begin to climb again tomorrow night and Thursday.
Tonight will be clear, starry and relatively pleasant with lows in the lower 60’s with light southwest winds. Tomorrow will be sunny, and make no mistake, it will be hot regardless of the lower humidity with highs in the middle to upper 90’s. So be cautious and avoid overexertion if you will be outside for any extended periods.
Thursday will be another very hot day with highs in the middle to upper 90’s, and higher humidity levels will make it quite uncomfortable. But a cool front will approach the region and probably set off a few thunderstorms later in the day and at night, some of which could be severe.
Depending on how fast the front moves, Friday could still be quite warm and humid with highs near 90, with perhaps a few thunderstorms. However, if the front moves a bit faster and is through the region by Friday morning, temperatures will stay in the 80’s and the humidity will lower.
Right now the weekend looks absolutely gorgeous with sunshine, low humidity, and a pleasant breeze. Highs should reach the lower 80’s with lows in the upper 50’s to lower 60’s.

Thunderstorms Tonight Then Heat Continues Until Late Week
Clouds held tough today over many areas of Greater Nebraska, and as a result high temperatures were a bit lower than expected. Nevertheless, highs still reached the upper 80’s to low 90’s, and heat indices were into the 90’s everywhere, so still a hot day overall.
For tonight, the threat of scattered thunderstorms, some potentially severe, will exist as a warm frontal boundary along the Nebraska/Kansas border lifts slowly north, and a mid-level disturbance over Colorado moves northeast. Thunderstorms have already erupted over the front range of Colorado northeastward into the Nebraska Panhandle, and this activity, along with additional activity that is forming over Kansas, will likely advance northeastward into Greater Nebraska. The greatest risk for severe weather exists along and west of Highway 83 this evening and early tonight, then later tonight the threat will shift further east. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and even an isolated tornado is possible, so stay tuned to KNOP for updates. Also, log into KNOPNEWS2.COM and go to our WeatherActive radar feature to follow the storm activity.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid, with more humidity over eastern areas, and highs getting into the lower and middle 90’s. Heat indices will be even higher, especially over eastern areas. Thursday will still be a hot day, but a cold front may cause some late-day thunderstorms. Friday’s weather depends on how quickly that front moves through. Right now, it looks like the front will still be in the area so the risk of thunderstorms will continue with highs around 90.
Cooler and less humid weather is then expected for the weekend with fair skies and highs in the 80’s.

Extended Hot Spell On The Way
There may be some isolated thunderstorms tonight, but heat will be the big weather story over the weekend and beyond.
High pressure over Missouri is sending a southerly flow of warmer and increasingly humid air over Greater Nebraska, and it will tap some very hot air over the Southern Plains over the weekend sending our highs into the 90’s and close to the century mark. These highs coupled with moderate to high levels of humidity will raise the heat index by several degrees in some cases, especially over central and eastern areas where humidity levels will be highest. So the heat could get into the dangerous category so caution is advised if outside for any extended periods, Sunshine and breezy conditions will prevail both weekend days, but there could be a stray thunderstorm especially over northern areas later Saturday, and an isolated storm anywhere later Sunday.
Before the weekend, tonight will be partly cloudy and humid with isolated storms, one or two of which could be severe with hail and damaging winds. Lows will be in the middle 60’s.
The hot weather will continue perhaps until late next week, with isolated storm chances.

More Storms But Hot By The Weekend
After a second day of isolated severe thunderstorms last evening over Greater Nebraska, more storms are in the forecast for tonight and Thursday, and isolated severe weather could occur once again.
The front that passed through overnight is now situated to our west and south. This front will try to make inroads back to the east and north during the next couple of days but will struggle to do so, and it will eventually dissipate as an upper-level ridge of high pressure extending from the southern Plains to the Southeast strengthens and exerts more influence into our region by the weekend. Until then, the front, and disturbances riding north and eastward from the Rockies, will periodically cause showers and thunderstorms to affect the area. One such disturbance will cross Greater Nebraska later tonight into Thursday and produce thunderstorm activity.
As the upper-level high begins to exert more influence during Friday, storm chance should begin to decrease, and should be almost non-existent by the time we get to the weekend. From the weekend into early next week, we can expect more in the way of sunshine and highs cresting into the 90’s. There is a possibility that the century mark could be exceeded in a few areas. The extent and duration of the heat will depend on the strength and position of the high, but right now it looks like at least several days of hot and perhaps very hot weather are on the way.
Stay tuned to KNOP and log on to KNOPNEWS@.COM for weather updates, and please check out our ActiveWeather Radar to keep abreast of any thunderstorm acitivity.

Another Round Of Storms Tonight Then Hotter End Of Week
We are still basically in the same type of weather pattern we have been in so much of the summer season, but that may perhaps change as we get into the latter part of the workweek.
A wave of low pressure on the border of northwestern Nebraska and southwestern South Dakota is moving eastward and dragging a warm front across Greater Nebraska this evening. The wave is helping to enhance thunderstorm activity across South Dakota southward into the Nebraska Panhandle, and a line of strong to severe storms exists. There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 9PM CT for Cherry County, and as this line moves through damaging winds could occur once again in the County, along with hail and heavy rainfall.
Elsewhere, a stationary front exists just to our south, and this front will likely become active with thunderstorms a bit later this evening and overnight. This activity should then drift into southwestern and southern Nebraska, and could produce some heavy rainfall. The low to the north will then drag a cool front across the region during the overnight, which will then settle to our south through Thursday. Lows tonight will settle into the 60’s and it will remain humid.
We can expect partly sunny skies Wednesday and Thursday with just a slight risk of a thunderstorm as highs reach the middle to upper 80’s both days.
By later in the week, and upper-level ridge of high pressure should strengthen and bring drier and hotter weather from Friday into at least early next week when highs reach the lower to middle 90’s, and perhaps upper 90’s in some places. So get ready for what looks to be an extended round of heat.

Still Warm and Humid And Scattered Thunderstorms
The weather has not changed much since last week, with the exception that there should be more widespread thunderstorm activity from tonight through Wednesday morning.
Warm to hot conditions, along with moderate to high levels of humidity, will continue through at least midweek. As weak fronts hover over or near Greater Nebraska, thunderstorms will be possible at just about any time, though the greatest chance will be during the afternoon and evening hours. Any storms are capable of producing some heavy rainfall because of all of the moisture in place.
Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy conditions tonight with scattered storms, and it will be quite humid with lows in the 60’s.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, warm and humid with more thunderstorms, any of which could produce some heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the 80’s to lower 90’s.
Thunderstorm chances will decrease during midweek as a front moves farther south, but a slight chance of storms will remain with partly sunny skies Wednesday and Thursday and highs in the 80’s and lower 90’s.
Later in the week and into the weekend, an upper ridge over the south may strengthen and build northward into the central Plains. This would bring drier conditions but the heat will build with highs getting back into the 90’s everywhere, along with moderate levels of humidity.
