Snow Ending & Thawing Beginning
The snow should wrap up by day break across Central and Western Nebraska. Lingering into Friday for Eastern Nebraska with about a fresh inch or two of snow cover. Warming temps for Friday into the 40s. Windy conditions for Friday night and Saturday but dry. Sunday through Wednesday of next week will be Un-January like weather. Sunday skies with temps in the 50s on Sunday, 60s on Monday and Tuesday. And we should sneak out another nice day temps in the 50s on Wednesday.
A Pattern Change?
Some of the longer range models are hinting at a pattern change for the end of next week. For the last couple of weeks we have had a trough out east and a ridge out west. Well that looks to change as we head into next Thursday and Friday. As a tough digs in the intermountain west and a ridge builds out east. This could pose a problem for us starting Thursday as the GFS model wants to bring a system through here. I am not sounding the alarms yet and I know Kendra would like Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s weather to last for the rest of the winter. And Coach Aub and Joe Swift don’t want a snowstorm for SPVA week. So I will continue to watch and see how that all pans out.
