A Nice Warm Up!

Once we get through the light mixed precipitation event Wednesday night. We’re shaping up for a very nice day across Nebraska on Thursday. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s with sunshine.

It’s back to winter though on Friday, I think we see a lunch time high temperature of around 40, then it’s a tumble Friday afternoon with light snow, wind and near zero or slightly below zero wind chills. The arctic air doesn’t last long though. After a near zero low on Saturday AM, I am looking for highs in the 40s Saturday, and then in the 40s and 50s for Sunday and Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday of next week a strong arctic surge comes rolling into the central plains. It’s going be a close call for Greater Nebraska. If this arctic surge hits us dead on, then we maybe looking at bitter cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills for the middle of next week. If the heart of the cold air goes east of us then will barely miss out on the bitter cold temperatures, please stay tuned for the latest forecast updates.

Take care,
Thomas
