2pm update.

Winter storm warnings have been posted for the panhandle of Nebraska and the Eastern Colorado Plains. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for areas north and west Of Brady, including the cites of Broken Bow, North Platte and Ogallala.

Right now it looks like 6-12 inches of snow is possible north and west of Brady, we could get more or less depending on how quick the change over is from rain to snow Wednesday night.

A wind advisory is in effect until 7pm (CDT) 6pm (MDT) for areas north and west of Paxton. Wind and rain will continue Wednesday afternoon. At times winds will gust up to 50mph in open areas. Last hour we had a 42mph gust in Ogallala, 40 is needed for a wind advisory. Temperatures Wednesday afternoon will be steady in the upper 30s and lower 40s with an east/southeast wind at about 20-30mph and at times gusting up to 50mph.
