We have an active weekend shaping up across Greater Nebraska, but I do think you will be able to get outside at some points. Friday night looks to be quiet, but the winds will increase, especially towards the overnight hours, out of the southeast at 10-20mph, and at times gusting up to 30mph.
Saturday we will start off the day with party sunny skies, temperatures will warm up nicely. Highs will be around 55 for Broken Bow, 58 in North Platte and 65 for Imperial.
After about 1 or 2pm look for the chance of T-Storms to move in, it is a 20% chance though and a better chance west of North Platte. Winds will be a bit on the strong side, out of the south 15-25mph and at times gusting 40mph, especially in open areas.
Saturday night a steadier rain moves in, and there is a chance of T-Storms , winds will switch around to the north and they will still be a little on the strong side, 15-25 and at times gusting to 30-40mph. With the colder air moving in, rain will switch over to snow by day break Sunday.
Sunday, will have some sprinkles and flurries early, then will have dry conditions through the day time. Highs with cloudy conditions will only be in the 40s.
Another storm system will take aim at our area on Sunday night and Monday. There may be some accumulating snows across the area. Stay tuned to News 2 through out the weekend, we will keep you updated.
