Scattered showers and t-storms are a pretty good bet for Wednesday night into the overnight. Some storms maybe severe, with threats being large hail, 60mph winds and heavy rain, and a brief tornado spin up is not out of the question.
Last night anywhere from 1 to 6 inches of rain fell in Central Nebraska. And with more rain on the way, the national weather service in Hastings has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Thursday and Friday. In fact some computer models indicated possibly up to 3 inches in some areas.
Strong fronts for this time of year will be pushing into the area on Thursday, T-storms and severe weather are likely. The chance of storms will continue into the weekend. Temperatures will be in the 90s on Thursday, 80s on Friday and then its back into the 90s for the weekend.
